This EDC clip point knife is hand forged from W2 steel. The knife was quenched in traditional Japanese style of applying a clay to the spine and then heated and quenched in oil. This results in an extremely hard cutting edge with a softer spine. It also creates what we call a Hamon this is a visible line on the blade were the transition of the hard cutting edge and the softer spine steel are. The handle is black diamond paper micarta rock texturd with stainless steel fittings.
